Qeez has been back online for a couple of months now but I suppose I've not had much time to actually get things moving. I don't suppose I will do any time soon, either. I will continue to check in here and have a look around. Maybe if people start using it seriously I'll put some work into it. But I don't know if that's likely to happen.

Qeez has been offline for a few weeks now. Sorry for any inconvenience, etc. The database may or may not have been corrupt, but I realise that dropping the database probably solves the issue anyway.
Qeez is about to migrate to a new, up-to-date server which will give me a lot more flexibility for improving it. It should also make the buttons look nicer :).

I do know some people are linking to Qeez, and that's very much appreciated. The more users we can get, the better it will be. If anyone else has a website and wants to link to Qeez there are a couple of graphics kicking around which you may use.

Changed lots of the buttons to a uniform style.
PHP and libgd and libfreetype on the server are of a much lower version to that on my local machine, which is a pity because the buttons look perfect there but ever so slightly iffy here.

Everything has been poked through a new formatting engine. This means that the look and feel is now pluggable. There are some other minor changes too.
This is an early deployment of a pile of updates. Some features that I have been working on have been overridden to allow this to happen, so don't expect too much from this update. I would appreciate any feedback on the styles.
Some little bits of context help have been removed temporarily.

I've done some moderating of the questions which are either wrong, not phrased as questions, etc. If some of your questions are crossed out, then please review them carefully, preferably with reference to an encyclopedia or web searches.

I realised that it was necessary for me to be able to view the popularity of the site and the scores of people who aren't in the top 5, so I created a members page.
I've also tweaked a few other bits and pieces. Mainly cosmetic. I'll tackle some of the other problems later.
Two requests.
Firstly, create questions. I'm about to do some rebalancing which will give tons of points to people who create questions (and that's to entice you to create questions, which are desperately needed, not to send my points total through the roof).
Second, use the criticism function. There are reasons for doing this - if you get three criticisms, the question is disabled. And then you don't have to do it. And the person who set it will get penalised. I know this feature can't be access from the question result page yet, but I'll get round to it soon.

Finally, Qeez is online. It's been almost a year in development - work started on 15th October 2001,
and I quickly developed some of what you see today, but most of the work has been done in the past couple of months, whenever I fancy a break from the
complexities of C++.
There is still quite a lot to implement on Qeez - I have quite a lot of ideas in my head, but I have deliberately aimed to have a release now and integrate extensions later. The structure shouldn't change much, and I should be able to preserve all the data when I make changes.
Qeez aims to be self-policing. If you think someone is inventing silly questions, you can vote to have the question disabled. If a question is disabled, the owner is penalised. What this effectively means is that you can only get a top score if you both set questions and play nicely.
The psychology of this is experimental, so expect changes and balancing to the scores system.
